Build skills.
Ride with confidence. Have more fun.

If you’ve ever felt nervous about roots, tight turns, or punchy climbs, you’re not alone. Many riders want to improve their mountain biking skills but aren’t sure where to start.

Good Time Ride Co offers mountain biking lessons, skills clinics, and group rides for adult riders in Edmonton’s River Valley. Our lessons focus on building the foundational skills that help riders feel more comfortable and confident on the trails.

We believe mountain biking should feel welcoming, supportive, and fun—not intimidating or exclusive.

Good times > bad times.

More Fun WIth Friends!

Good Time Ride Club

Sometimes the best way to improve is simply riding more! It’s also a great opportunity to be introduced to new trails you might not have ridden before—and you'll meet new ride buddies!

Our social ride club brings riders together to explore Edmonton’s River Valley trails in a supportive, no-drop group environment. It’s a great way to meet other riders, build confidence, and have a good time on the trails.

New riders are welcome here

Many riders come to their first clinic feeling a little unsure of themselves. That’s completely normal. We’ve been in that exact spot at one point in our lives!

Our programs are designed for adult riders who want to build confidence at their own pace. You don’t need to be fast, fearless, or experienced to join, just curious and willing to learn.

We spend time practicing skills, riding together, and cheering each other on along the way. Progress looks different for everyone, and that’s part of the fun!

Confidence on dirt = good times on the trail.

I had a great experience working with Emma. Going into it, I was feeling unsure about my riding and lacked confidence, but Emma quickly created a supportive and encouraging environment. She is kind, knowledgeable, and really meets you where you’re at—always willing to move at my pace while also knowing when to challenge me in a way that helped things truly click.

What our Good Time riders are saying

I went from having never ridden a mountain bike to excitedly riding blue trails!

Hard things felt doable with Katie and Emma in my corner. Equal parts skill, patience, and humor. I’ve taken many sessions of lessons with them and can’t wait to ride with them again!

LINDSAY O.

Katie was a super fun coach, you can feel her passion for riding and all things bikes. She was extremely knowledgeable and encouraging, a great coach and person to share a ride with!

Ride bikes.
Meet people.
Have a good time.

Mountain biking is more fun when you’re riding with good people.

Our clinics and group rides are designed to help riders build skills, but they also create space to connect with other people who love being out on the trails. Many riders join solo and quickly find themselves part of a supportive riding community.

And yes, it really does happen! Good Time Ride Co. founders, Emma and Katie, actually met at a mountain bike skills clinic themselves. Turns out bikes are pretty good at bringing people together! Join our Ride Club and see for yourself.

Our bike service partner: Lark Cycle

We’ve teamed up with our friend Doug at Lark Cycle, a trusted local bike service shop in Edmonton.

Riders who join our clinics, private lessons, or ride club receive 20% off basic and full tune-ups throughout the riding season. How awesome is that?!

And don’t be surprised if you see Doug and his partner out on a group ride with us—they’re regulars in the river valley too!

P.S. A well-tuned bike makes learning new skills a lot more fun.

Riding Edmonton’s River Valley Trails

Edmonton’s River Valley is one of the largest urban park systems in North America, and it’s packed with awesome mountain biking trails. It’s so fun to ride on that it almost makes up for those -40°C with the windchill days we suffer through in the winter!

From the winding singletrack through the trees to punchy climbs and rooty descents, we are pretty spoiled with endless opportunities to build skills and explore new trails.

We also advocate for trail stewardship and participate in trail maintenance and trail building with our good friends at Edmonton Mountain Bike Alliance (EMBA).

Our clinics, private lessons, and group rides take place throughout Edmonton’s trail network and in Fort Saskatchewan as well, which gives riders practice on varied terrain while getting to know some of the best riding spots in the area.

Whether you're brand new to mountain biking or looking to grow your confidence on your local trails, there’s no better classroom than our river valley, and no better instructors and ride leaders than our team!
