Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change. Because our programming runs with limited spots and coach ratios, cancellations impact the ability to offer those spots to other riders. Our policy is based on the notice provided prior to the start of a program or session.
14+ days before the program start date
Full refund, minus a $30 administration fee.
8–13 days before the program start date
50% refund.
7 days or fewer before the program start date, or no-show
No refund.
Registrations are not transferable to another participant.
Transfers
Transfers between Good Time Ride Co. (GTRC) programs may be permitted within the same season, subject to availability.

14+ days before program start
$20 administration fee.

8–13 days before program start
$40 administration fee.

7 days or fewer before program start
Transfers are not permitted.

Transfers must be to another available GTRC program with space remaining. If the new program has a higher registration fee, participants are responsible for paying the difference.
Program Changes or Cancellation by GTRC
GTRC reserves the right to cancel or modify programming due to insufficient registration, unsafe trail conditions, coach availability, or other circumstances that make the program impractical to run.
If GTRC cancels a program (in full), participants will receive a full refund. Refunds will not be issued for missed sessions within a multi-week program.
We will do our best to provide as much notice as possible.
Illness
If you are unable to attend due to illness, please notify us as soon as possible. Our cancellation policy and timelines remain the same even if your cancellation is due to sickness.
If notice is provided prior to the start of the program with enough time, we may allow a transfer to another session within the same season, subject to availability.

Note re: 4-week clinics: We cannot refund individual sessions missed. If you are ill and cannot attend one of your clinic sessions, we will do our best to catch you up on what you missed at your next session.
Weather Policy
Mountain biking happens outdoors, and most GTRC programs run rain or shine.
However, GTRC may cancel, delay, or modify a session if conditions are unsafe or could damage the trails we ride on.
Examples may include:
-
Lightning or severe storms
-
Extreme weather conditions
-
Unsafe trail conditions due to heavy rain
-
Poor air quality from wildfire smoke
-
Trail closures issued by EMBA or City of Edmonton
If weather or trail conditions require a change, participants will be notified as soon as possible via the GTRC communication platform, email or phone.
If a session must be cancelled due to weather, poor air quality, or trail closures, GTRC will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the session (please see more below.). If rescheduling is not possible, a partial refund may be issued at GTRC’s discretion.
Unless you hear from GTRC, please assume your session is running as scheduled.
Rescheduling Policy
If a session must be cancelled due to weather, poor air quality, or trail closures, the following will apply:
4-Week MTB Skills Clinic
If GTRC needs to reschedule a clinic session, it will be scheduled for the Tuesday of the following week. Up to two reschedules will be permitted in the four week span.
Private Lessons
If GTRC needs to reschedule a private lesson, another day and time will be confirmed with the participant(s) that works for all parties.
Ride Club
GTRC does not reschedule ride club rides. Additional rides on days other than Thursday evenings may be added across the season at GTRC’s discretion.
If you have any questions, please get in touch.
